The Admin Dashboard

The admin dashboard gives building leaders a quick snapshot of how their learners and teachers are doing across content areas and grade levels.

Each of the sections on the dashboard is dynamic and updated in real-time. We will delve into each particular section individually further down this page, and the immediate below is an overview of the full front page.

Overview

In the above screenshot, we see five sections. The two on the top left ("LFs with Logins in the last 7 days" and "LFs with Activity Scores in last 7 days") give information about the teachers (or Learning Facilitators).

The upper-right section ("LFs with Look For Goal Set") is used when using this version of the Human Capital Resource Manager, otherwise, it will be empty.

In the lower-left of the screenshot ("Learner Pacing"), we see four content areas (ELA, History-Social Studies, Math, and Science). These content areas can be adjusted for your particular needs. There is also a legend for what the colors mean (yellow means greater than 20% of the learners in that content area and that grade level are behind pace, blue means between 10% and 20% are behind pace, and green means less than 10% of the learners are behind pace).

The lower-right of the screenshot ("Depth of Learning") tells us what percentage of learners at each grade level and content area have overall scores above 3.0 (or the equivalent for your site).

Continuing to scroll down the page, we see three more sections. The first ("# of Learners with LT Scores in last 7 days") tells us how many learners have had overall scores changed in the last seven days.

The next tile (" Graduation Tracker") is a little more subtle. In essence, it tells us how many learners are "on" grade level or not. There is some setup that needs to take place for this tile to work as intended. and details on this tile are found below.

The final tile ("Days Unexcused Monitor") will be blank for all sites except for Lindsay Unified.

When clicking on each of these tiles, the information presented is a deeper look at individual cases instead of the aggregate view.

LFs with Logins in the Last 7 days

This tile will report individual teachers and how many distinct times each teacher has logged in in the last seven days. Each column is sortable.

LFs with Activity Scores in last 7 days

This tile shows the teachers, their assigned classes, the number of learners in each class, the total number of activity scores assigned in that class over the previous 7 days, and the number of unique learners those scores were assigned to.

This will help administrators see if all learners are being scored on a timely basis on any type of evidence that has been scored, be it quizzes, activities, or quick activities.

Learner Pacing

Hovering over the example of 3rd-grade ELA, we see the hover-over of "30 of 53 students are behind pace".

When we click on that box, we can see a list of teachers, classes, and a few extra columns.

You see the last/first name of the teacher, the class name, the grade level, how many learners are on pace, how many learners are behind pace, and the total number of learners in that class and grade level.

This view will include ANY class that has a student in that grade level and that content area.
"On pace" includes learners on pace AND ahead of pace.
You must have course playlists set up and assigned to classes for this section to populate!

You can also click into the classes to see the individual learners. In this example, I am showing the class "P2: ELA 3: 12".

You can also search in the bar in the upper right.

Depth of Learning

Hovering over the example of 3rd-grade ELA, we see the hover-over of "Out of 3288 scores entered, 880 are 3.0 or higher with 0 above a 3.0".

These scores are overall standard scores, not activity scores. It is a view to see how many learners are working beyond the 3.0. Clicking into each box, we see a list of teachers and classes again, similar to the view in the above Learner Pacing tile.

The columns in this tile are last/first name of teachers, the class name, the count of how many overall standards have been scored, the count of how many of those scores are 3.0 or higher, the count of how many scores are above a 3.0, and the total number of learners in the class.

This view will include ANY class that has a student in that grade level and that content area.
You can also click into the classes to see the individual learners. In this example, I am showing the class "P2: ELA 3: 12".

This screen shows each individual student and their standard scores as of that moment. It is sortable, so you can sort by learner name, class name, standard, or standard score. You can also search in the bar in the upper right.

# of Learners with LT Scores in last 7 days

Hovering over the example of 1st-grade Math, we see the hover-over of "Out of 42 enrolled students, 6 have scores entered".

These scores are any overall standard (LT = learning target) scores that have been entered for learners in the past seven days. Clicking into each box, we see a list of teachers and classes again, similar to the view in the above Learner Pacing tile.

In this example, we see in class "P3: Math 1: 10", there are 18 total learners in the class, and 6 of the learners have received a new standard score in the last seven days. Clicking into the class will allow us to see who those learners are.

The columns in this view are last/first name of the learner, the standard name, the score, the time stamp of when it happened, and any comment by the teacher about the score.

The timestamp is regardless of if the assigned teacher gave the score.

"Auto Adjusted Overall Score" is when the MTSE robot or the Assisted Scoring routine scored the standard, and not a teacher directly scoring the standard.

Graduation Tracker

This screen shows how many learners are behind pace in their overall school view. Let's explore what that means.

In the above screen, the hover-over on 4th-grade LLL (LifeLong Learning) shows "out of 52 learners, 5 are behind pace". What does this mean?

Clicking on that box brings us to the above screen. We see the following columns: last/first name of the learner, their grade level, their graduation area type name, the graduation area name, the pace, the expected credits, and the earned credits.

The graduation area type name is set up during the My Graduation/My Learning tab setup. Find out more about the My Graduation/My Learning tab here
The Graduation Tracker will NOT populate unless the My Graduation/My Learning tab is set up.
The expected credits and earned credits section is determined by having course playlists for each grade level and content area previously set up. If the two columns match, the student is on pace. Otherwise, they are behind pace.

In the above example, we have 4th-grade students listed. In this school, that means they have been in school for 5 previous years (Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3). Course playlists were set up for each of these five grade levels, thus the "expected" 5 credits.

The "earned" credits are in essence how many course playlists in the content area have been completed. The first three students in the above list have completed all five course playlists and thus have earned 5 credits. Student #4 in the list has completed only four course playlists, thus is "behind" pace.

Think of this "graduation tracker" to be the equivalent of "how many of my learners in my building are "on" grade level!!
