My Workspace

My Workspace

My Workspaces is designed as an organizational tool for teachers to put all the activities and playlists they want to (or might want to) use all into one place, so they don't have to continually use the search function.

The My Workspace tile is located on the Instruction tab. Once clicked, teachers will see four tiles: "Assigned Activities", "Assigned Quizzes", "Assigned Playlists", and "My Folders", along with some search fields. These search fields will ONLY search for things in your workspace, and teachers can search by content area, standards, keywords, or activities. The regular search button, located in the top row, will continue to be accessible and will search across the Empower site. A video explaining the My Workspace is below.

My Folders

One thing you will notice when searching anywhere in an activity, quiz, or playlist is a new folder icon.

This folder icon will allow teachers to place that activity, quiz, playlist, or message into a folder in the My Workspace area. An example of what that looks like:

As you can see, you have the ability to add a new folder on that screen. It is possible to share these folders with other teachers.

These folders are similar to a digital filing cabinet, as the folders are not aligned with any class or group, nor do they expire from year to year. It is a place where teachers can put the stuff they want to use, or might want to use.

Assigned Activities, Assigned Quizzes, Assigned Playlists

When a class or group is selected, teachers have access to the "assigned activities", "assigned quizzes", and "assigned playlists" buttons.

Any activities, quizzes, or playlists that have been assigned to THIS class/group will show up here, where teachers can see the access codes for each activity, quiz, or playlist, any assigned dates or due dates, and links such as assigning to another class/group, adding to a folder, and also the detailed scoring screen.
